It was a great meeting of Philadelphia Chapter of COEP Foundation on June 6th and was attended by some of the very well established alumni in the area.

We could feel the passion from batch of 1975 to batch of 2000 for doing something for our Alma mater.

The following activities were done and points were discussed.

1) Local Automobile Industry (Visteon) was visited and ideas regarding establishing a simple automobile line in COEP campus for training the students was discussed.
This was important point keeping in mind that Pune is becoming a major hub for Automobile Giants from USA.This training lab will facilitate the local industry needs.
2) Monetary Contributions of Alumni for various Projects.
3) Mentoring current students by delivering series of lectures via Video Conferencing in various fields from the industry experts in USA.
4) Creating a solid Networking Community of COEP Alumni
5) Spreading the word about COEP foundation.

We will try to grow this Philly Chapter by having regular monthly meetings , increaing the membership numbers etc.
