Meet Mrs. Lila Poonawalla and listen to her personal experiences in her journey from a young COEP engineer to a CEO. Join the COEP alumni and your friends for an exciting networking session and ask Mrs. Poonawalla your favorite questions.
Mrs. Lila Poonawalla graduated from the Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) in 1967 and was the first lady engineer in the Mechanical Engineering Department. She is a successful entrepreneur and was the first woman CEO in India’s business history. Her achievements gave global recognition to the Alfa Laval Group. She has received several awards including the prestigious Padmashri from the President of India. She started the Lila Poonawalla Foundation to promote women’s education in India and the Quality Circle Forum to train people and hone their skills.
